We have a long-standing relationship with IKEA, producing end-to-end media content to communicate their store construction and refurbishment projects and recently finalised our work on IKEA Greenwich, which we documented from breaking ground all the way through to launch day, which took just over two years to complete. We worked closely with the Construction, Marketing and Interior Design teams to provide real-time video and photography of the project enabling communication to global stakeholders and our real-time visualisation of the site supported the contracted construction companies to plan movement of machinery & aggregates whilst also providing insightful inductions to site.
Multiple time-lapse cameras were located around the site externally and internally to capture development every 2 minutes for 2 years. As well as producing time-lapse videos we ran a live portal that enabled IKEA to see the build in real-time from the comfort of their desk.
Our unique techniques enable us to produce accurate long term time-lapse footage of the IKEA Greenwich construction using drones. Our highly skilled team of drone operators and in-house production team deliver industry leading results.
We visualised the IKEA Greenwich project through cinematic video and dynamic photography. Our work supported internal global presentations and digital communications as well as public relations.
Using three cameras over two year we produced over 1.5 million time-lapse images for IKEA.
The construction cost for IKEA Greenwich was substantial and was the equivalent cost of building 420 (average size) houses in the UK.
Lots of drone footage meant lots of travel, with our drones completing 600km across the project - the same distance from London to Stockholm.
Filming over a long period of time takes dedication and lots of storage. This project required over 4TB of storage.
As part of IKEA’s online development strategy we digitally scanned all the retail department spaces to produce an interactive virtual tour of the completed store. We also embedded video content and information to deliver and engaging and informative model.
To support global and local PR communications our team photographed the entire store to showcase the design teams unique room sets.
Once all the construction work was complete we were there to capture the build up to the public store opening. With a team of videographers we captured this historical moment.
